After studying Graphic Arts, Mel started tattooing in 1992. She has been fortunate to have worked with some of the finest artists in the area, and have enjoyed learning and sharing techniques. In 2000, the opening of Rite of Passage was a dream and a long time goal that finally came true. She put a lot of energy into perfecting her studio, making customer service and satisfaction a priority.
Enjoying all types of styles in the art, Mel loves creating colorful pieces, to the most technical. In 2003 after having her son Corbin, she went to study the art of cosmetic tattooing and is now certified in permanent make-up, corrective tattooing, camouflage, and areola re pigmentation.
A 16 year old Vet in the graffiti art scene. He Also has been tattooing since 1997 in the greater Rochester area. Zone is the host of the Rochester Ny Bboy BBQ, which is an annual hip hop Graffiti event free for the public. He spends a great amount of his time traveling and painting murals with fellow Graffiti Artists of F.U.A. ( From Up Above) an internationally known graffiti group. 1. After an hour remove your bandage and wash tattoo gently with mild soap. DO NOT REBANDAGE.
2. Apply a thin film of A&D ointment, Bacitracin, or like
3 times a day for 3 days. After 3 days use a mild
lotion, cocoa butter as needed till skin is healed
3 . Keep tattoo out of sunlight and tanning beds
4. Do not soak in tub, sauna, jacuzzi, or go swimming
while tattoo is healing. But still take a shower stinky!
5. DO NOT PICK OR ITCH YOUR TATTOO
6. Fading happens, use sunscreen its good for you and your tattoo.
